Philadelphia, 1777. When a Quaker family flees north to escape the British occupation, they are forced to share quarters with American officers. Sixteen-year-old Sally soon finds herself captivated by a dashing young major, testing her family’s pacifist beliefs and her own faith. Inspired by true events and infused with shades of Jane Austen, Sally Wister is a story of courage, unexpected friendship, and the complexities of love during wartime.
