Description :
Nous vous invitons à deux jours d’ateliers de contact improvisation, suivis de deux jours de laboratoire et de jam. Pendant cette rencontre, nous explorerons les bases du Contact Improvisation à travers une perspective queer, entendue comme une invitation à décaler les normes, questionner les évidences, et ouvrir des possibles dans nos manières de nous relier.
Notre intention est de composter les fondements du contact improvisation en les mettant en dialogue avec nos réalités micropolitiques, nos vécus multiples, et nos expériences sensibles. Créer un sol commun, fertile, pour cultiver des danses vivantes.
**Cet espace est ouvert à toustes**, indépendamment de l’orientation, de l'identité de genre ou du niveau d’expérience. L’approche queer que nous proposons ne suppose pas de s’identifier comme queer, mais invite à se rendre disponible à une exploration collective, située, qui prend en compte nos différences, nos limites et nos besoins.
Les deux premiers jours seront structurés autour d’un cours le matin (3 heures) et d’un autre l’après-midi (3 heures). Nous revisitons ensemble les bases techniques du contact improvisation : rouler, glisser, pousser, créer des structures, partager le poids, voler, utiliser le momentum, etc. Ce travail sera traversé par une attention constante au **consentement actif**, en partageant des outils concrets pour naviguer la relationnalité et le contact de façon plus consciente, honnête et respectueuse.
Nous sommes conscient·es que dans la danse – et en particulier dans le contact improvisation, où le toucher est central – nous risquons de reproduire des dynamiques d’abus ou d’inégalités. C’est pourquoi nous abordons le corps à partir d’une perspective micropolitique, en cherchant à construire d’autres manières de nous relier, plus attentives, plus situées. Le CI nous semble offrir une méthodologie précieuse : par la somatique et l’improvisation, il nous permet d’affiner l’écoute du corps – autant individuel que collectif.

Description:
We invite you to two days of contact improvisation workshops, followed by two days of lab and jam. During this gathering, we will explore the foundations of Contact Improvisation through a queer lens — understood here as an invitation to shift norms, question assumptions, and open up new possibilities in how we relate to one another.
Our intention is to *compost* the foundations of contact improvisation by bringing them into dialogue with our micropolitical realities, our multiple lived experiences, and our embodied sensitivities. We want to create shared ground — rich and fertile — from which our dances can grow.
**This space is open to everyone**, regardless of orientation, gender identity, or level of experience. The queer approach we propose does not require one to identify as queer; rather, it invites a collective, situated exploration that honors our differences, boundaries, and needs.
The first two days will be structured around a morning class (3 hours) and an afternoon class (3 hours). Together we’ll revisit some of the technical foundations of contact improvisation: rolling, sliding, pushing, creating structures, sharing weight, flying, using momentum, etc. This work will be accompanied by a constant focus on **active consent**, offering practical tools to help us navigate relationality and contact in ways that are more conscious, honest, and respectful.
We acknowledge that in dance — and especially in contact improvisation, where touch is central — there is a risk of reproducing dynamics of abuse or inequality. That’s why we approach the body from a micropolitical perspective, seeking to build other ways of relating: more attentive, more situated. CI, for us, offers a valuable methodology; through somatics and improvisation, it allows us to deepen our listening — to ourselves and to the collective.
