In Ireland, however, judicial studies remains an emerging and underdeveloped field of scholarly inquiry. The launch of the Irish Judicial Studies Network (IJSN) seeks to address this gap by fostering interdisciplinary engagement between scholars, practitioners, and members of the judiciary. This inaugural event aims to bring together academics and practitioners to explore the Irish judiciary in its institutional, constitutional, and societal contexts. It provides an opportunity to reflect on the changing role of judges, the relationship between judiciary and academia, and broader questions concerning judicial independence, accountability, and legitimacy. The conference will feature academic panels alongside a judges’ roundtable and keynote sessions. The event is one of a number of events taking place in UL this year as part of the School of Law's Silver Jubilee celebrations. https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events7/banners/27174540-bddb-11f1-b1a6-b9774bd33e42-rimg-w1112-h740-dce8e8d8-gmir.jpg - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/limerick/irish-judicial-studies-network-launch/100001999762731161 - **Event Categories**: business, conferences - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 0 - **Event Highlights**: - Duration: 8 hours - Location: Glucksman Library, University of Limerick - Languages: English ## Ticket Details - **Ticket Price Range**: min: 0, max: 20, currency: EUR ## Event venue details - **city**: Limerick - **state**: LK - **country**: Ireland - **location**: Glucksman Library, University of Limerick - **lat**: 52.673302 - **long**: -8.573495 - **full address**: Glucksman Library, University of Limerick, University of Limerick, Limerick, Ireland ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: Irish Judicial Studies Network Launch - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events9/banners/f672d035582422328b96999deb2f8ca91ecfc9a15d5b85ae1a9263fb35c7e846-rimg-w1120-h745-dc081838-gmir.jpg?v=1788866610 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is Irish Judicial Studies Network Launch being held? - **A:** Irish Judicial Studies Network Launch takes place on Fri, 09 Oct, 2026 at 09:00 am to Fri, 09 Oct, 2026 at 05:00 pm at Glucksman Library, University of Limerick, University of Limerick, Limerick, Ireland. - **Q**: Who is organizing Irish Judicial Studies Network Launch? - **A:** Irish Judicial Studies Network Launch is organized by Dr Laura Cahillane. - **Q**: Who is this event for?
