'AWAKENING' promises an inspiring programme celebrating renewal, hope, and the uplifting spirit of spring.
Featuring Forrest’s 'Requiem for the Living', a deeply moving work that moves through darkness to light, offering comfort, reflection, peace and hope, and a first for Limerick. In contrast, Vivaldi’s uplifting 'Gloria' brings vibrant energy and joyful praise, capturing the vitality and brilliance of new life.
Joining LCU and Orchestra are soloists, mezzo-soprano Gemma Ní Bhriain and soprano Sarah Shine, whose exceptional musicianship will bring an added layer of excellence to the performance.
Under the baton of Malcolm Green, LCU continues its proud tradition of presenting exceptional choral music to audiences in Limerick and abroad.
