Lunch.
Through fragmented recollections of her father’s stories, R. Angeli reanimates the
sensory and political dimensions of his 1989 journey to the Beqaa Valley, where he met
Abdullah Öcalan and the PKK.
Set against the valley’s rugged landscapes and marked by makeshift shelters, the work
documents both terrain and memory, while also reflecting the broader socio-political
landscape.
The valley emerges not only as a site of political encounter but also as a space where
the pursuit of refuge, self-determination, and belonging unfolds.
The built and natural environment carries the weight of human stories, reminding us of
the enduring relevance of shelter as a language of resilience, resistance, and sustained
Hope.



Η eins ειναι στην ευχάριστη θέση να παρουσιάσει την δεύτερη ατομική εκθεση της Ραΐσσας Αγγελή

Μέσα από αποσπασματικές αναμνήσεις των ιστοριών του πατέρα της, η Ρ. Αγγελή
αναβιώνει τις αισθητηριακές και πολιτικές διαστάσεις του ταξιδιού του το 1989 στην
Κοιλάδα Μπεκάα, όπου συνάντησε τον Αμπντουλάχ Οτσαλάν και το PKK.
Το έργο εκτυλίσσεται στα τραχιά τοπία της κοιλάδας, σημαδεμένα από πρόχειρα
καταφύγια, καταγράφοντας τόσο το έδαφος όσο και τη μνήμη, ενώ παράλληλα
αντανακλά το ευρύτερο κοινωνικοπολιτικό τοπίο.
Η κοιλάδα αναδεικνύεται όχι μόνο ως τόπος πολιτικής συνάντησης αλλά και ως χώρος
όπου διαδραματίζεται η επιδίωξη καταφυγίου, αυτονομίας και ένταξης.
Το δομημένο και φυσικό περιβάλλον φέρει το βάρος των ανθρώπινων ιστοριών,
υπενθυμίζοντας τη διαχρονική σημασία του καταφυγίου ως γλώσσα αντοχής, αντίστασης
και διαρκούς ελπίδας.
