Luke Tromiczak schreibt seit 2011 die Musik von Blood & Sun und vertont diese mithilfe von stets wechselnden Gastmusikern. Für diese anstehende Europatour wird er von seinen langjährigen Freunden Erik Wivinus, Liliian Liu und Sawyer Gebauer begleitet. Synchron dazu veröffentlicht er sein neues Album mit dem Titel "Aion's Light". Die Entscheidung das Drittwerk auf einem vierspurigen Tascam 414 Tonband aufzunehmen (gleich der ersten Demo), spiegelt die Ambition wider sich auf den Geist der Anfänge seines Schaffens zu besinnen: Roh, ungeschliffen und voller lebhafter Spontanität. Hier trifft klassische 70er Folklore auf black metal Attitüde und die Atmosphäre von B-Movie Horror Soundtracks.

Einer Band wie Society of the Silver Cross einem bestimmten Musikstil zuzuordnen fällt nicht wirklich leicht, den Zugang dazu zu finden gelingt jedoch mühelos. Das Ehepaar Joe Reineke & Karyn Gold-Reineke aus Seattle verschmilzt verschiedenste Klänge zu einem dunkelbunten Flickenteppich. Einflüssen reichen von american gothic, blues, psych folk zu tribal, gar Mal etwas indisch angehaucht, dann wieder eine doomige Passage. Abgerundet wird das ganze durch die mystisch aufgeladenen Texten, deren symbolischer Charakter mit jedem Hörgang den Schleier der Wirklichkeit etwas dünner erscheinen lässt.

Schweden besitzt eine scheinbar endlose Fülle an begabten Künstlern so wie im Fall von Linnea Hjertén: Diese schafft mit ihren Kompositionen eine filmreife Atmosphäre welche dich auf zu einer Reise der Innenschau und Naturmystik einlädt. Ihre kontrastreiche Musik entfaltet sich nach und nach wie ein Nebel der über einem See emporsteigt, mit seinen fliessenden Bewegungen die Landschaft spielerisch umhüllt. Mal verschwinden darin die Bäume in der Ferne oder er bricht auf um einen hellen Mondstrahl durchzulassen der sich in der Wasseroberfläche spiegelt.
