- **Event Name**: Would the real Lesley Smith please stand up?
- **Event Start and End Date**: Wed, 25 Nov, 2026 at 02:30 pm (+00:00)
- **Event Description**: Lesley Smith is well known as a historian, and also as a TV presenter and novelist. She is particularly known for her costumed monologues in which she portrays women from history, usually famous and powerful, but sometimes more humble and obscure (although equally important!).

Lots of people ask Lesley about her background, including her family, and where she has lived. This is a chance to find out more. One of her close relatives was a film star, and another a Cold War agent, and that is just the start!

Come and meet the real Lesley Smith, without the ruffs and the castle, and find the woman underneath, presented in her usual humorous style. Come along for a fun afternoon, and discover that Lesley’s back story makes sense of everything…

Tickets are £12 per person (over 16’s only) and should be purchased in advance.

The venue is wheelchair accessible, and parking is available onsite.
