Materials and Corrosion Engineering in New Technology Developments
Lichfield Science and Engineering Society hosts the first lecture of 2026 in the studio, at the Garrick.
Dr Liane Smith, Larkton Ltd will share her knowledge. When working at the forefront of engineering on new types of technology where there are no standards to turn to, inspiration comes from various sources. Examples include the earliest carbon capture and sequestration designs, the world's first large scale offshore methane to hydrogen storage facility and optimising geothermal systems.
Visitors are welcome for a small fee of £8 (cash on the door please). Members have priority and seating is on a first come, first served basis.
Lichfield Science and Engineering Society is a membership organisation. Membership is great value at £35 for the year. This gives you access to the season's lectures, discounted tickets for the annual Darwin lecture, plus visits. See www.LSES.org.uk for more information.
