- **Event Description**: Our son Gavin Short is an Eagle Scout whose life was taken far too soon. He passed on April 29, 2022 in a tragic auto accident, along with two of his best friends, Drake and Nic. To continue his legacy of kindness and volunteerism, we invite you to join us in a Day of Cheerful Service in Honor of Gavin. A commitment to cheerful service is one of the central principles of the Order of the Arrow, which is a Scouting honor society. Gavin joined the OA brotherhood in 2016. 


There are two opportunities for you to help on this Day of Cheerful Service: packing meals at Feed My Starving Children and/or participating in a park cleanup at the Wildwood Park District.
