- **Event Description**: The Friends of River Ranch County Park invite you out for a fun day of hiking in the park.  The Park Mascot, Pokey Porcupine needs your help cleaning up the small debris (nails, screws, fence staples, bottle caps, plastic wrappers, plastic bottles, zip ties, etc.) that can sometimes be found along the trails, and that wildlife could mistake for food.  Bring your gloves, drinking water, and container for your findings.  Entry to the park is FREE by completing your Volunteer Agreement/Waiver at https://forms.wilco.org/Forms/VltrAgrmntWvr (must be completed prior to arrival). 

Even if you don’t find much “Pokey Plunder,” you can still enjoy exploring beautiful River Ranch County Park in springtime!  Check in at the Day Use Pavilion, walk the trails of your choice for as long as you like, turn in your collected items and then relax with a picnic lunch at the pavilion’s playground area.  Afterward, be sure to visit the nearby Interpretive Center and Bird Blind.  The Friends of River Ranch County Park will provide trail maps and information and refreshments.
