                "description": "Serretta-Brooke Bradley is a native of Lexington, Kentucky.  Serretta is a Clinical Associate Professor at Indiana University School of Social Work where she has overseen various programs on multiple campuses for almost a decade. Serretta is a proud graduate of the HBCU, Kentucky State University where she earned a Bachelor of Social Work with completion of the KY Public Child Welfare Certification Program. After completing her undergraduate degree, she obtained a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville Kent School. For over 20 years she has worked with the KY Public Child Welfare system, provided services to clients in psychiatric facilities, and led family connections with foster care’s loneliest kids through the Family Finding Project Match KY Initiatives. While in Indiana she has helped initiatives to bridge gaps between youth and parents in community corrections and support for families in faith-based ministry. Serretta has also traveled  Poland for Holocaust Studies and studied in London and Dublin. In her roles at the university, Serretta has worked as a leader in pacticum education program for master’s level students in mental health addictions, taught various courses at the undergraduate and graduate level over the years, and as the interim Director, she led the MSW Program for the IU Southeast campus for three years. Collectively with other colleagues Serretta participated in securing grant funding for practicum education students to be placed in rural communities providing mental health and addiction services. Serretta has presented at local, state, and national conferences on various topics regarding practicum education, and mental health awareness. Serretta says her family is everything to her and enjoys the support of her village. Serretta plans to continue to promote health and wellness to enhance the work of the social work profession and the inspire healthy lifestyles worldwide.﻿"
