Family Tradition is no Hank Williams Jr. Tribute Band, but they sure like to pay tribute to an era that created the honky-tonk party anthems of yesterday and today. Creating their own modern take on a classic timeless sound, while proudly serving up what they like to call only the finest “Rowdy Country”.
They are known for engaging with the audience through their high energy performances, accompanied by a full live interactive multimedia experience that produces a lasting memory of good times and unforgettable nights, suitable for any age group.
Their message is simple, to always leave feeling “Better Than You Came” as explained in their redone version of Diamond Rio's 90's Country hit Meet in the Middle.
Family Tradition has recently been named “Best Band” by Hour Detroit Magazine (2021) as well as “Best Country Band” by Review Magazine in Mid-Michigan (2021, 2022, 2023, 2025).
They are regulars at many of the popular local fairs, festivals and events around the area such as the NASCAR cup series at MIS, Romeo Peach Fest, Armada Fair, Auburn Cornfest, Milford Memories, Gaylord Alpenfest, Livonia Spree, Munger Potato Fest, Bay City Ribfest, Anchor Bay Country Music Fest and more.
In the past few years, they have shared the stage and supported many legendary national country acts including Trace Adkins, Gretchen Wilson, Chris Janson, Rodney Atkins, Joe Nichols, Uncle Kracker, The Oak Ridge Boys, Nelly, Parmalee, Aaron Tippin, Dylan Scott, Niko Moon, Eli Young Band, and Frankie Ballard.
