About the event

Courageous Leadership Speaker: Kyle Carpenter
The Virginia Military Institute Center for Leadership & Ethics welcomes Kyle Carpenter as a Courageous Leadership Speaker.

Kyle Carpenter is the youngest living recipient of the Medal of Honor. In 2010, while serving as a U.S. Marine in Afghanistan, he made a split-second decision to save the life of a fellow Marine, an act that would forever shape his understanding of courage, sacrifice, and leadership.

As part of the H.B. Johnson Jr., Class of 1926 Distinguished Lecture Series, Carpenter will share his story and reflect on leadership under pressure, resilience through adversity, and the responsibility that comes with service to others.
