With a pending County Capital Project Sales Tax initiative on the horizon, the Chamber recognizes that transportation is one of the most pressing issues facing Lexington businesses and residents.
This quarter, we are bringing together experts to provide clarity on vital infrastructure projects and funding. Our three-part series featured experts from the Town of Lexington and the State. Our final presentation will be on Lexington County's proposed Transportation Improvement Plan.

David Beaty, P.E., Senior Principal, Stantec
David Beaty, P.E. is a Civil Engineer and Senior Principal with Stantec and has been providing senior leadership on a wide array of transportation improvement projects during his 33 year career, including program management, roadway design, environmental studies, public involvement, and project management of multiple projects throughout the South Carolina and the Midlands. He has served as the Engineer-of-Record on numerous transportation projects including major intersection improvements, widenings, interchanges, and new location highways. In addition to his extensive SCDOT experience, David has worked closely with many local governments, including Beaufort County, Richland County, Spartanburg County, Lexington County, the City of Columbia, the City of Greenville, and the City of Hardeeville. David led the team that widened Highway 6 from US 378 across the dam and then SC 60 from the dam into Irmo.
