- **Event Description**: September 2026 marks the 165th anniversary of the Battle of Lexington. Join us at the historic site on Sept. 19 to commemorate the battle at this living history day event. 

This event will feature reenactments, tours, period music and more! All activities are free and open to the public. Visitors are encouraged to bring water, sunscreen, a picnic meal and a chair.

Registration is required for the candlelight hospital tours of the Anderson House. See the schedule below for more information.

Event Schedule:
The event will be held rain or shine, unless conditions are deemed unsafe. 

Noon to 12:30 p.m.	 - Reenactment of the taking of the Anderson House	

12:30-3 p.m.- Live music from the 1800s
Drill exercises
Meet and greets with reenactors -- Explore the camps, hear the soldiers' stories, and learn about their uniforms.
Hemp bale demonstration -- See how Missouri State Guard soldiers moved hemp bales during the battle, and see if you have the strength to move them yourself.

3-3:30 p.m. - Reenactment of the taking of the Anderson House

5:20-7 p.m. - Meet and greets with reenactors -- Explore the camps, hear the soldiers' stories, and learn about their uniforms.	

7-9:30 p.m.	Candlelight hospital tours -- Tours begin every half hour, with the last tour starting at 9 p.m. (Tour times are 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.)	Anderson House	Yes -- Call the historic site to register: 660-259-4654. Limit of 25 people per tour.
