About the Experts:
*Nicola Pusterla, PhD, Dipl. ACVIM, AVDC-Equine, is a professor of equine internal medicine and dentistry at the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated from the University of Zurich, in Switzerland, and earned his PhD with an emphasis on vector-borne diseases. Pusterla’s professional and research interests include equine internal medicine and dentistry, with a focus on equine infectious diseases, including epidemiology, diagnostics, prevention, and treatment.

*Rob Keene, DVM joined the Boehringer Ingelheim in 2008 in the role of professional services veterinarian. He provides technical and sales support to equine customers across the country and has more than 40 years of experience in practice and industry. Keene attended veterinary school at Colorado State University, in Fort Collins and graduated in 1983. He began his practice career in California in an exclusive equine practice, focusing on herd health, reproduction, and surgery. Keen serves on the advisory board for the equine sciences program at Montana State University, in Bozeman, and participated on various committees of the American Association of Equine Practitioners. Keene works primarily in the U.S. on behalf of Boehringer-Ingelheim Animal Health and lives in Three Forks, Montana, farming and ranching with his wife, Linda.
