"Hey Dude, Nice Shoes..." Parent Workshop

Parents, we are excited to share that Carolyn Jennings Brown is coming to Briarhill and McAuliffe, and she is setting aside a special night for YOU, the parents of the amazing kids in this area!

Carolyn Jennings Brown has been serving public schools in Texas for two decades, and has a unique perspective on the challenges students are facing today. She shares in a passionate and honest way to educate the two generations, students and parents, to bridge the gap of understanding about growing up. Her passion is to empower kids to stop bullying and grow in kindness, and believes that when parents and kids partner together, we really can change the world around us.

She is speaking to our students during the school day and has a special parent-focused workshop that she will be putting on at 7pm on December 2nd in the library of Briarhill Middle School.

This event is open to all parents in the area, so even if you do not have a student at BMS or McAuliffe, you are encouraged to join us!

We will also have childcare available for any families that need it (potty-trained and up). Be sure to register for your spot at the workshop as well as register for childcare at the link below.

We look forward to packing the house and making this corner of North Texas an even more amazing place for our community through the things we will learn together. See you then!
