The Gong:
The gong is one of the oldest musical instruments in the world and vibrates at the same frequency as the body allowing for healing and creating a deep state of relaxation. The gong meditation can be used to rebalance  the physical and energy bodies and affects the cardiovascular, endocrine, autonomic, and immune systems. The gong sounds and vibrations take you on a journey into your inner landscape and when combined with Restorative Yoga and Reiki can have a profound affect that awakens, inspires, heals, transforms, and soothes your body, mind, breath, and soul and is therapeutic for stress, anxiety, depression, and even pain.
 
Professional musician and sound healing expert Kenny Kolter incorporates the use of a 30" Year Platonic Earth Gong, which resonates at the frequency of our own planet Earth, with Tibetan singing bowls, drums, more gongs, and an amazing variety of other instruments to provide an energetic and sonic backdrop for your Restorative Yoga practice and Reiki with Lisa Nicholson.
 
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction, relaxation, and healing channelling life-force-energy through and around the body to promote well being.
 
Restorative Yoga postures provide deep relaxation preparing the body, mind, and spirit to receive full benefits of the powerful Gong Meditation during an extended savasana.
 
Although we have mats and props available, please feel free to bring your own mat, blankets, bolster or pillows, and anything you would like for your comfort.
