- **Event Description**: Thanks to members of The Lewistown Historical Society, Illinois Arts Council, Two Rivers Arts Council and the Lewistown Chamber of Commerce, Edgar Lee Masters Day is back! We are excited to be part of the day with a bags tournament and pork chop sale to benefit our St. Jude Lewistown to Peoria Run and help fight childhood cancer. Big thanks to The Rocket Tap as they will host us in their parking lot between them and the bank. Registration/Practice will start at noon and we will start the tournament at 1pm. Tournament will consist of a 3 or 4 game (depends on how many teams) round robin straight into a double elimination tournament. Cost is $20 per person. Bring your own partner or we can assign the day of. Half of the pot will be paid out to 1st, 2nd and 3rd, while the other half will benefit our St. Jude Lewistown to Peoria Run. If you have your own bags, feel free to bring them. If you don’t have bags, don’t worry, we will have you covered. Hoping to have around 5 sets of boards going at one time. Please try to RSVP so we have an idea on how many players to expect as that will help us figure out how many boards we will need. We want this to be a community event so everyone is welcome! Even if bags aren’t your thing, bring the family up for a pork chop sandwich and enjoy the other events our community members have worked hard at.
