The Lewistown Area Chamber of Commerce has scheduled the annual Consignment Auction for Saturday, April 4th at the Fulton County Fairgrounds in Lewistown. Sale starts at 9:30am.
Concessions will be available throughout the day from the 4-H Foodstand on the grounds.
Check in of consigned items will be Thursday, April 2nd and Friday, April 3rd, from 8:30am to 7pm both days at the Fairgrounds, in the building West of the Foodstand.
Consignments will also be taken 1 hour before the sale Saturday. Rates are 20% to the Chamber of sold amounts up to $500. $500 and more sales will have a 5% commission to the Chamber. Donated items are welcome.
Each year the sale varies, but usual items include housewares, collectibles, primitives, tools, and fence and cattle gates. Past years have seen campers, cars, trucks, motorcycles, and livestock trailers. Estates are welcome to consign but must notify organizers in advance of sale.
Multiple auction rings will be conducted throughout the day, the number depending on how many area auctioneers volunteer their time that day. Anyone with questions about consignments can call Auctioneer Albert Vaughn at 309-547-2807.
All proceeds benefit the Lewistown City Fireworks Fund. All unsold items must be removed from the Fairgrounds day of sale.
