RiverStage presents "INTO THE WOODS"!

RiverStage Community Theatre invites you to its final show of the 2024-25 season, the big summer musical "INTO THE WOODS!" Performances are at Greenspace Center, 815 Market St, Lewisburg on Fridays and Saturdays June 6, 7, 13 and 14 at 7:30pm, and Sunday matinees on June 8 and 15 at 2:30pm. All seating is general admission, and all tickets are just $15 for adults for $8 for students/children, available at the door or in advance online. In "INTO THE WOODS," James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone’s favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless musical… and a rare modern classic. The story follows a Baker and his wife (who wish to have a child), Cinderella (who wishes to go to the King’s Festival) and Jack (who wishes his cow would give milk). When the Baker and his wife learn that a Witch’s curse prevents them from having a child, they all set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted... but with unexpected consequences for all.

Tony Award-winning masterpiece takes you on a humorous, poignant journey, with a touching and sophisticated score that features favorites like “Agony,” “It Takes Two,” “Giants in the Sky” and “No One is Alone.”

This production is directed by Emily M. Shaffer, with music direction by Katherine Leister, costumes led by Anne Griffin and Pat Musselman, lighting by Cole Casimir, and stage management by Sara Jones.
