David Acord is a Supervising Sound Editor and re-recording mixer who is known for his contributions to films in the Star Wars Universe, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the films of Paul Thomas Anderson. Recently he has lended his craft to projects such as "Andor," "Superman, and The Mandalorian and Grogu. Originally from Delaware, David began work in film production in 1994, primarily as a boom operator. He later made the leap into post-production at Skywalker Sound in 2001. 

David has been nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Achievement in Sound Editing, as well as two BAFTA nominations and seventeen Emmy nominations (two wins).
