After an initial conversation with the facilitator to reveal the 'entry point' of the constellation, the issue holder asks other participants to 'represent' figures in their constellation. This could include living family members, ancestors, internal aspects of themselves, or much broader elements: like a country; an archetype; or even The Source of Life itself.When the representatives stand in the constellation, they often do so without any prior information about the person or their family history. They are not required to 'act' as what they are representing; only to report honestly what it is like for them to be standing in a certain position -including physical sensations, what/who is drawing their attention, and any feelings. These experiences are in fact revealing information which hold the key to resolving the problem the issue holder faces.In a mysterious way, representatives usually find that the role they are asked to hold resonates strongly with something they are facing in their own lives, or have lived through (such as a particular career path, or dynamics with members of their own family).
