American Legion Post 1711 in Levittown, New York will be presenting awards for Americanism to local community and civic leaders on Friday February 20, 2026. Americanism is defined as a “love of America; loyalty to her institutions as the best yet devised by man to secure life, liberty, individual dignity, and happiness; and the willingness to defend our country and Flag against all enemies, foreign and domestic”. We are looking to recognize people in our community who demonstrate 100% Americanism. Examples include fire fighters, policemen, teachers, students, medical workers, and community volunteers who have gone above and beyond in support of our community. We are requesting assistance in identifying candidates for the recognition. I am attaching the nomination form and instructions. All nominations are due by Friday February 20th. Please complete the nomination form and send it to American Legion Post 1711, 3123 North Jerusalem Road, Levittown, NY 11756 or email it to
