On April 2 of 2026 we’ll be setting up a unique concert with The Mon and Kariti, two dark folk / ambient / drone artists, in the Chapel of Our Lady of Fever in Leuven! There will also be a one-day Malleus expo titled "Angels and Daemons".
THE MON is the solo project of Urlo, bassist, synth player and vocalist in Ufomammut, where he now turns inward, crafting music that is intimate, emotional, and spiritually charged, blending dark folk, ambient, electronic, and drone elements.
kariti (карити) - 'to mourn the dead' is a Russian-born poet and musician based in Italy. Using her angelic voice, electric guitars, and various synthesizers she creates intense live shows that have been described as liturgy-like, enigmatic and cinematic.
The late Baroque Chapel dating from 1730 is located on the corner of Vlamingenstraat and Frederik Lintsstraat, and is part of the KADOC institute of the university in Leuven.
