Contactimprovisatie is een dansvorm waarbij de dansers beweging laten ontstaan in contact met elkaar. Het is een speelse ontdekkingstocht naar hoe samen bewegen met elkaar en met de zwaartekracht. Een contactdans kan heel energiek en acrobatisch zijn of net heel rustig en subtiel. Elke contactdans is een nieuwe ontmoeting waarbij je co-creëert samen met je danspartner(s). *Programma: We starten met een les waarin je onder begeleiding van een ervaren CI-lesgever contactimprovisatie technieken kan aanleren en kan inoefenen. Na de les is er een jam waarin je vrij kan dansen, solo of in contact met anderen. *Lesgever: Mutsuko Ariyoshi Mutsuko is een voormalig hedendaags danser die onder meer in Japan, Europa en het VK heeft gewerkt. Ook al verliet ze het professionele circuit bijna 20 jaar geleden, dans liet haar nooit los. Onder een andere vorm en intensiteit, dans was en is nog steeds aanwezig in elke fase van haar leven. Tijdens haar professionele carrière leerde ze intensief Contact Improvisatie bij verschillende leraars, waaronder legendarische CI-pioniers als Lisa Nelson, Daniel Lepkoff, Ray Chung and Kurt Kogel. 2025 was het jaar waarin ze opnieuw verenigd werd met Contact impro dankzij de initiatieven van CI Leuven. Contact improvisatation is a danceform in which the movement arises in contact with other dancers. It is a playful journey in how to move with each other and with gravity. A contact impro dance can be high energy and acrobatic or very subtl and slow. Every dance is a new encounter in which you co-create with your dancepartner(s) *Program: We start with a class in which you can learn and practice contact improvisation techniques with an experienced CI teacher. After the class we open the floor for a jam in which you can freely dance, practice and play solo or in contact with other dancers. *Teacher: Mutsuko Ariyoshi Mutsuko is an ex-contemporary dancer worked in Japan, Europe, UK etc. Though she left the professional industry almost 2 decades ago, dance never let her go. Changing its form and intensity, dance lived and still lives in every stage of her life. During her professional career she learnt Contact Improvisation extensively with different teachers, including early CI legends such as Lisa Nelson, Daniel Lepkoff, Ray Chung and Kurt Kogel. 2025 was the year she got reunited with Contact impro thanks to the CI Leuven initiatives.
