Two fascinating films of local historical and sporting interest shown on the Balors 5m x 6m LED video wall.

Great is Benny Gordon’s story, a century of life in the Twin Towns. The youngest child that lost their father when Benny was just 11. Nevertheless, a childhood full of fun and friendships. A boy’s curiosity and wonder of wartime. A time when resourcefulness and smuggling helped lay the table. Street games, boxing, football and the movies. A boy, growing into adulthood, showing movies to his community, playing in a band and marrying the girl next door. A life of love and laughter. A life without regrets.

Crossing Lines tells the story of TT Harps. In 1979, a group of young women formed a football team that was both cross-border and cross-religion. While politicians and community leaders struggled to build bridges, these girls let the beautiful game create a world of friendship and acceptance. A world where they all belonged.
