Inspired by the free jazz movements of the past, the group strives to find the perfect balance between structured songs and free improvisation. Originally taking residence at the Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens as a mere hangout, the group slowly began to establish itself to the point where they could perform regularly together. They are currently working on a second studio album and collaborations with other local artists. Band Bio – ORBIT: A Curated Jazz Experience Orbit is a space for you to experience jazz in a way you probably haven’t before. Launched by Midnight Channel, it’s a regularly occurring, curated event where jazz and jazz-adjacent music come alive. You’ll hear non-traditional approaches, improvisation, and original compositions — music that evolves in real time. —- Upside Downtown Concerts + Art 2026 Schedule Weekly concerts on Rotary Square at Casa every Thursday night after work from 5pm – 7pm.
