Alberta's Bill 11 opens the door to two-tier, American-style health care — the biggest threat to our public health care system we’ve ever seen. But in more than 8 months since this legislation passed, we have seen NO action from the federal government to protect patients and our health care systems against this egregious violation of the Canada Health Act.

That's why health coalitions across Canada are coordinating a National Day of Action for Public Health Care on September 1, 2026. Join Friends of Medicare for a lunch-hour info picket in LETHBRIDGE to demand urgent action from the Federal Government and Lethbridge MP, Rachel Thomas, to enforce the Canada Health Act and save public health care!
