It is developed and facilitated by the Blackfoot Resource Hub as the Indigenous Support Navigators for the Lethbridge ICA.  Over two days, attendees will have a chance to learn through lived experience with local Blackfoot Elders, learn about the historical and cultural realities in what is now Southern Alberta, discuss and address systemic racism and bias, and engage in hands on activities designed by the Blackfoot Resource Hub. This two-day training also includes Cultural Safety training that looks at ensuring that System Navigators are given the tools to provide culturally safe and trauma informed services to those that they are working with while taking meaningful steps towards reconciliation in our community and with those we serve.  Indigenous Priority Population & Cultural Training is required by all Tier 2 System Navigators in order to be fully certified and offered their certificate. Please ensure that you have the staff member attending the session register with their name and email address for accuracy of registration lists at the session, and for certification.  If you are unable to attend after registering, please make sure that you cancel to open the space for another attendee.  About the Trainers Blackfoot Resource Hub – Indigenous System Navigators (https://www.lethbridgeica.ca/indigenous) Indigenous System Navigators (ISN) see the impact of intergenerational trauma on the community and are dedicated in supporting Indigenous peoples through family, community and cultural support.
