- **Event Description**: Please join SOK: Shetland's Organisation for Knitters on Saturday 25 April for a celebration of Agnes Hunter and her shawl, which introduced so many to Shetland Lace knitting for the first time. 

A light lunch of soups and sandwiches will be served followed by a program about the life of Agnes Hunter and the shawl she knitted that was subsequently sold to Patons and Baldwin and became a popular lace knitting pattern for seven decades.

The event is unticketed, but we are asking everyone to RSVP by Friday 17 April so we do not exceed the capacity of the space. Donations to SOK: Shetland's Organisation for Knitters will be accepted at the event.

If you have knitted Mrs Hunters Shawl, we would love to see it on the day. 

WHERE: Room 16, Islesburgh Community Center
WHEN: Saturday 25 April, 1 pm for light lunch, 2 pm for program
COST: Free. Donations to SOK accepted, but not expected.
