- **Event Description**: Join Bonnie Rideout of Bonnie's Baskets on Saturday, May 16th for this hands-on, guided basket-weaving workshop! All tools and materials will be provided, and by the end of the day participants will take home a 3 1/2” tall x 14 ¾” circumference finished basket.

"Touch of Spring" starts by inserting and securing spokes into a wood, slotted base.  Techniques include using a wood base, twining, shaping and a matchstick border. The colors are Celery Green and natural.  Pretty pip berries adorn the front of the basket.  This little cutie will look great anywhere you choose to display it!

Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site, a gateway site for the Abraham Lincoln National Heritage Area, was the 1840s home of Abraham Lincoln’s father and stepmother, Thomas and Sarah Bush Lincoln. It is located eight miles south of Charleston and 14 miles southeast of Mattoon, Illinois.
