De La Salle alumnus Alexander Scapini, a class of 2016 graduate, tragically passed away in January of 2022, following a battle with a brain tumor. His life will be celebrated via a charity walk, taking place on Sunday, Sept. 14, at 10:30 a.m., at Addison Oaks County Park in Leonard, Mich.
Here's the official rundown of events for the day:
9:30 a.m. - Registration

The 4th annual event, held in Alex’s memory, is called “Steps for Scaps.” It will benefit the Children's Tumor Foundation, whose mission is to drive research, expand knowledge, and advance care for the Neurofibromatosis (NF) community.
NF causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body, and affects one in 3,000 people of all populations. Unfortunately, there is presently no cure for the aforementioned genetic disorder.
