Join us for a magical evening under the stars on Saturday, November 8th, from 3:30–5:30pm CT at James D. Beville Park in Leitchfield. Families with children of all ages are welcome!
As autumn comes to a close and the shorter days of winter approach, we gather with lanterns to remind us of the inner light each of us carries.
Before the walk, enjoy nature activities, crafts, and warm cider. Children are welcome to play and explore. As the sun begins to set (around 5pm), we’ll gather for a story and then head out together, lanterns in hand.
This event is free and open to the community! Be sure to RSVP "going" if you plan to join us as this helps us prepare for supplies.
🌟 FAQ
Do I need to bring a lantern?
If your child is enrolled in our classes, they will have already made one. For everyone else, we’ll have lantern-making supplies available the evening of the walk — just be sure to arrive before
4:30pm so you have plenty of time. You are also welcome to make one at home and bring it along (Pinterest has lots of great ideas!). We’ll provide battery-operated candles for all lanterns.
Where do we meet?
Our spot is at the TOP of James D. Beville Park (off E. Carroll Blvd). On Google Maps, search for Leitchfield Sports Complex to find the correct parking lot. We’ll be in the treed area to the right, under one of the gazebos.
What to wear?
Dress warmly and wear layers — it will likely be chilly.
