Motorowl

Schwer, psychedelisch und atmosphärisch intensiv – Motorowl aus Thüringen erschaffen Klanglandschaften, in denen Doom, Prog und Psychedelic Rock zu einem unverwechselbaren Sound verschmelzen. Seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 2014 liefert die Band Musik, die ebenso emotional tiefgründig wie klanglich wuchtig ist.

Mit dem Gewicht klassischen Heavy Rocks, Einflüssen aus dem 70er-Prog und modernen Post-Metal-Texturen erzeugen Motorowl einen dichten, filmischen Sound. Wuchtige Gitarren, analoge Synthesizer, eindringlicher Gesang und treibende Rhythmen formen Songs, die zugleich schwer und melodisch, düster und fesselnd sind.

Ihr Debütalbum Om Generator (2016, Century Media Records) präsentierte eine mutige musikalische Vision. Mit dem Nachfolger „Atlas“ (2018, ebenfalls bei Century Media) verfeinerte die Band ihr progressives Songwriting, ohne an roher Energie oder emotionaler Tiefe zu verlieren. Das aktuelle Album This House Has No Center (2024, Supreme Chaos Records) markiert einen künstlerischen Entwicklungsschritt – konzeptioneller, atmosphärischer und kompromissloser als je zuvor.

Motorowl sind bekannt für ihre hypnotischen und intensiven Live-Auftritte. Auf der Bühne wie im Studio überschreiten sie konsequent die Grenzen harter Rockmusik. Nach Touren mit Bands wie Sólstafir, All Them Witches, High on Fire und Long Distance Calling sind sie längst zu einer festen Größe in der europäischen Doom- und Prog-Szene geworden.
