Eine Mischung aus düsterem New Wave und explosivem Post-Punk
Seit ihrer Gründung in Kopenhagen im Jahr 2009 widmet sich The Foreign Resort seit über einem Jahrzehnt der Verfeinerung eines Sounds, der vor roher Post-Punk-Energie nur so strotzt und in düstere Melancholie eintaucht. Ihre Arbeit zeichnet sich durch ihre Vielfältigkeit und Spannung aus, verkörpert sowohl helle als auch dunkle Stimmungen und ist von emotionaler Tiefe und unmittelbarer Wirkung geprägt. Live auf der Bühne lässt sich The Foreign Resort am besten erleben. Das Trio tourt unermüdlich, süchtig nach dem Reiz verlorener Highways und der Freude, ihr Publikum von Angesicht zu Angesicht zu treffen. The Foreign Resort hat bereits mit Bands wie Cold Cave, Killing Joke, The Soft Moon, She Past Away und vielen anderen zusammengearbeitet. Seit 2010 hat die Band mehr als 600 Shows in Nordamerika und Europa gespielt und ist bei Festivals wie SXSW, Iceland Airwaves, Canadian Music Week, Cold Waves Festival, Nocturnal Culture Night, Wave Gotik Treffen, Amphi Festival und W-Fest aufgetreten.
Das Trio veröffentlichte 2019 das Album „Outnumbered“, 2020 die EP „The Rabbit Hole“ und 2021 „OutRemixed“. Die Singles „Resound“, „Southern Skies“ und „Endurance“ stammen aus dem kommenden Album von The Foreign Resort, das im Frühjahr 2026 bei Artoffact Records erscheinen wird.
