All of Long Spinney is maintained two afternoons a month by a small team of volunteers.

More helpers are always needed and welcomed by the team, as many hands make light work!

Even if you can only spare an hour or so of your time at any of our afternoons, any extra help we can get is much appreciated.

Not all the work we do in Long Spinney to keep it well maintained and safe for all to use and enjoy is hard work or difficult - for example, sweeping boardwalks or bridges from mud or ice, cutting back brambles and nettles that grow over the paths ... )
