- **Event Description**: ?✨ Bring your lantern and join us for a magical community Lantern Walk as we celebrate Matariki – the Māori New Year – together along the beautiful Mahurangi riverside boardwalk!
Meet us from 5:30pm on Thursday 9 July 2026. The walk will begin at 6:00pm and follows the riverside boardwalk at a gentle pace, suitable for prams and most mobility levels.
Free LED candles will be provided so you can light your lantern safely – please no real candles or open flames in lanterns.
After the walk, the Warkworth Scouts will be outside the Masonic Hall with free hot chocolates and a sausage sizzle (cash only).
