Eerste highlights
Papa Aswa brengt een ode aan Surinaamse culinaire tradities, met cassave als rode draad. Kom proeven! Dompel je ook onder in de verlichtende kracht van muziekgezelschap Black Harmony. Als eerbetoon aan hun afkomst, taal en culturele identiteit, zingt de groep uitsluitend in het Sranan Tongo. En luister naar het panelgesprek van The Black Archives met Surinaamse perspectieven op natuur en de strijd tegen koloniale en commerciële druk.

Het programma is gecureerd door Sherlien Sanches van het Inheems Kennis Centrum Internationaal, Rakesh Kanhai en Tiffany Hiralal van Papa Aswa, Ashanti Lord van Patta Academy, Nikita Krouwel van The Black Archives, en OSCAM in nauwe samenwerking Gwen Peroti voor Naturalis.

Papa Aswa pays tribute to Surinamese culinary traditions, with cassava as the common thread. Come taste it! Immerse yourself in the uplifting power of the musical group Black Harmony. As a tribute to their heritage, language, and cultural identity, the group sings exclusively in Sranan Tongo. And listen to the panel discussion by The Black Archives, featuring Surinamese perspectives on nature and the struggle against colonial and commercial pressure.
