Als dochter van Glen Campbell zou je toch denken dat een bloeiende loopbaan in de muziek al bij voorbaat een zekerheid is. Niets is minder waar !  
Deze meesteres op de snaren, begenadigd songwriter en zangeres begon als banjo- en keyboardspeler in de band van haar vader tijdens diens laatste wereldtournees. Het eerste (grote) succes was debuutsingle"Remembering", met dat prachtige tekstregeltje 
‘Daddy don't you worry, I’ll do the remembering' en te horen op het Grammy-winnende album van de documentaire Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me. 
Haar eigen muziek bracht de zangeres uit Nashville over de hele wereld, van China tot Australië, naar het hoofdpodium van de O2 Arena in Londen, waar ze het voorprogramma verzorgde voor Kris Kristofferson en In Carnegie Hall zong ze samen met songwritinglegende 
Jimmy Webb de hits van haar vader.
Met twee internationaal geprezen soloalbums op haar naam, verscheen het derde album, Goodnight Nashville afgelopen jaar.
In 2023 bracht Ashley samen met Thor Jensen het album Turtle Cottage uit, als het duo Campbell Jensen.  
Ook met Scott Bradlee's enorm populaire Postmodern Jukebox trekt deze jongedame volle zalen 'All over the World'.
Ashley brengt een mix van een groot aantal invloeden, waarbij ze het old-school countrygeluid van haar vader uit de jaren 60 en 70 combineert met hedendaagse Americana, rootsy folk en countrypop. 
Ze is een nieuweling met jaren van ervaring en verschijnt nu zelf in de schijnwerpers met een flinke dosis (eigen) stijl, talent en geluid. 
Bovendien met een fantastische band met stergitarist Thor Jensen in een hoofdrol.
