Presented by the volunteer Tree Wardens, this seasonal stroll takes in selected trees from the Western Park tree trail and visits the park's community orchards along the way. The Tree Wardens will provide interesting snippets of information to enjoy, as you wander around this beautiful green space. Our route will include some soft (unsurfaced) paths. Step out and enjoy summertime in nature. This walk is free to attend but places must be booked.Western Park is home to two of the city's Community Orchards. This walk is a collaboration between the Leicester Tree Wardens and the Choose How You Move project.BookingThis short walk is free to attend, but numbers are limited so please book via Eventbrite to secure your place or phone 0116 454 2860 when booking has opened. Please note our phone line is answered during office hours only (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm), not at weekends or bank holidays. Places do not need to be booked for children, but they must be accompanied by an adult.If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel via Eventbrite or contact us by phone (during office hours)so we can allow others the opportunity to attend.New WalkersIf you have not walked with Leicester City Council before we will ask you to complete our Walker Registration form in advance of the walk online or by phone. You will receive an email with a link to the online form in the days leading up to the event. You only need to do this once and can attend any of our walks thereafter (subject to booking a place on Eventbrite).Dress for the weatherRemember to dress appropriately for the weather. Our group walks will go ahead in most weather.
