Leicester's Christmas celebrations start officially on Wednesday 19 November when the annual switch-on celebrations will light up the city centre. This year’s event runs from 5pm until 8pm and features a packed Christmas cracker of a programme with musical performances in Town Hall Square all evening long, street entertainment from entertainers including The Living Snowglobe and Polar Pip the Polar Bear, the Billy Bates fun fair and no less than four separate light switch-ons.

5) Baubles Galore!
After the success of the Autumn wreath workshop in September, Pam & Fran are back to run another Sunday double crafting workshop with us. Pam from Cherry Bank Studio with guide you through the delicate technique of decoupage art at Baubles Galore. You will decorate 3 x 60mm shatterproof Christmas baubles to hang from your tree or give as gifts. For the second half of your afternoon Fran from Fox & Felt will show you how to needle felt cute tree baubles in a selection of seasonal colours. Everything is provided for a relaxing and creative afternoon topped off with hot drinks and seasonal treats.
