You’ve waited all year for this announcement, and here it is, fresh like a newly-unsealed tape from 1987, THREE DAYS of retro media markets, THREE NIGHTS of hot rentals on the giant outdoor screen, celebrating TEN YEARS of VHS-FEST at the Mahoning!

Hosted by Strange & Found VHS (Scott Miller from Strange Tapes and Joe Pickett from the Found Footage Festival), this celebration of all things videotape brings vendors and tapeheads from across the United VHStates and beyond together to pay homage to the cult of clamshell, slinging tapes and watching deep cuts and classics from the dank, dark, dusty shelves at the back of the coolest video store you wish you had in your town!

Special guests include:

Rhonda Shear (UP ALL NIGHT) – Friday and Saturday!

Todd Sheets (Director of GOBLIN) – Friday through Sunday!

Brian Paulin (Director of BONE SICKNESS) – Friday through Sunday!

Rich George (Star of BONE SICKNESS) – Friday Through Sunday!

On Friday night, freak out with your friends and play rental roulette with these creepy cassettes!

GOBLIN (1993) – Newlyweds move into a new house, unaware that the titular terror takes trespassers to task! Directed by Todd Sheets!

EVIL SPAWN (1987) – Aging actress injects sinister secret serum and bugs out!

DOCTOR DEATH (1989) – A post-apocalyptic tale of a teenage wasteland, shot on Super-8!

Saturday, stay UP all night, and glaze your eyes upon this terrifying trio of tapes!

NEON MANIACS (1986) – Dayglow demons stalk San Francisco by night, slashing and trashing vibrant victims! 

BONE SICKNESS (2004) – What happens when the treatment for an ailment is worse than the disease? Directed by Brian Paulin!

BOARDINGHOUSE (1982) – The rent won’t K*ll you, but something else will!

Sunday, Santa’s got a full sack…of scares!

SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT (1984) – The infamous Santa slasher flick…Ho, Ho, OH NO!  

FEEDERS 2: SLAY BELLS (1998) – Aliens invade the world, and only Santa and his elves can save us from the hungry hellions!

Gates open at 3pm each day for our legendary VHS Fest vendor market, with films hitting the screen at sundown. Shop ‘till you drop, then drop yourself in the after-hours slot for a throwback night of VHS-tacy!

*extended pass allows you to enjoy the extended program until DAWN. Chairs, Blankets and Pop-up Tent viewing spaces may remain set to save your space with consecutive extended day passes.
