Looking for a weeknight reason to celebrate celluloid? Join us at The Mahoning Drive-In Theater for Thursday Thread-Up! From grindhouse to arthouse, cult classics to deep cuts, we present a series of single-feature 35mm screenings several Thursday nights a month, to get you ready for the weekend! 

When your dad’s an undertaker, your mom’s in heaven, and your grandma’s got a screw loose…it’s good to have a friend who understands you. Even if he is a boy.

Young Vada (Anna Chlumsky) is obsessed with death, and when her undertaker widower father (Dan Aykroyd) begins to fall for the new funeral home makeup artist (Jamie Lee Curtis), she enlists the help of best pal Thomas (Macaulay Culkin) to help thwart the impending romance.  

A heart-warming comedy with some unexpected turns, a film that enthralled and traumatized a generation of kids, that may resonate more for its grown-up fans now than it did when they saw it in their youth.  

With Richard Masur, Griffin Dunne, and Tom Villard, directed by Howard Zieff.

Gates open at 6pm, showtime at sundown.

Tickets are $8.00 General Admission, $5 for children 12 and under and Mahoning Drive-In Patreon members.
