The gates open to the park at 5 p.m., and fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. The fireworks show will be choreographed to music and simulcast on 94.9 KCMO. Concessions, food truck vendors, DJs, and activities for kids 12 and under. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. and close at 9:00 p.m. or when all the parking venues are full. In the last few years, we have closed the gates by 8:30 p.m. as parking was already full. In case of inclement weather, join us on Sunday, July 5, 2026. There will be charges for food and beverages. --------------------Navigating to Legacy Blast --Before the fireworks show, Blackwell will be closed at Colbern and at the roundabout to clear the roadway for the exit if necessary. --Overflow traffic will be directed out of the area. --Expect lengthy delays before and after the event in the areas of NE Colbern Road, NE Scruggs, NE Langsford, and NE Blackwell Parkway. --Allow yourself plenty of time for your drive and be patient and respectful!
