Kids Fishing Derby

Get a line wet at Legacy Park Lake! This fishing derby provides children with an introduction to sport fishing and the responsibility of caring for our natural resources. A fishing license is NOT required for kids fishing the derbies. Adults (16+) must have a valid Missouri fishing license to fish the lake. Bring your own rods and reels!

Registration will include a free container of worms. All participants will be fishing from the shore or the fishing dock! Your pre-registration is requested.

Derby prizes will be awarded for Girl's and Boy's biggest fish and smallest fish in age groups (2-6, 7-11, 12-16). Grand Prizes are awarded to Overall smallest and Overall biggest fish. You have to be present to win the awards.
