With a full moon lingering in the early morning sky, we might just get double the magic.We'll meet at 7:30am, pop on the headtorches, and take a steady climb up to the Roaches ridge. With sunrise at 8:20am, you’ll watch the world light up from one of the finest viewpoints around. From there, we’ll wander along rugged ridgelines, dip into the mystical chasm of Lud’s Church, and take in Hen Cloud along the way.Expect sweeping moorland views, legendary stories, rocky scrambles, and possibly a wild wallaby (yes, genuinely a thing…). We’ll also bag a trig because it’s rude not to.And to round things off in true Ray of Sun Adventures style, we’ll finish with coffee and cake (or lunch!) at the tea rooms — a totally optional but highly recommended post-hike social. Whether you’re an experienced hiker or new to evening walks, this is a fantastic chance to enjoy nature, learn a little history, and experience a beautiful sunset from the view point. I’m based near the Peak District where I spend a lot of my time, but love to explore all the UK’s stunning landscapes.  I’m a fully qualified Hill & Moorland Leader, hold a membership with the British Moutaineering Council and hold a 3 year Outdoor First Aid Certificate. In 2025 I completed the Eryri National Park Ambassador Scheme to Gold status. I am also currently in training to become an assessor for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
