- **Event Name**: Signs of Spring Walk The Search for the Woodcock
- **Event Start and End Date**: Thu, 09 Apr, 2026 at 07:00 pm (-04:00)
- **Event Description**: Androscoggin Land Trust and Stanton Bird Club partner to bring you Signs of Spring Walk and the Search for the Woodcock at Purinton Homestead Conservation Area.

Ardent birders, Dana Little and Judy Marden, will lead us in our search for signs of spring and the elusive woodcock. Woodcocks are easiest to find at dusk in the springtime, when the male performs a marvelous display flight, or “sky dance.”

Parking is available across the street in the Baptist church parking lot. Wear appropriate clothing and boots for mud and wooded areas. Tall socks are suggested to avoid ticks. Bring a headlamp or flashlight. https://androscogginlandtrust.org/land-projects/purinton- homestead-conservation-area/
