Welcome to Risk A Verse, the night which brings feelgood communal tunery to the fine folk of Leeds! The concept is this: you sign up for a slot in advance to play and/or sing a song of your choice on the theme, then on the night you sing the verses and everyone else joins in on the chorus.
This time we're looking forward to a night of songs from the sublime to the ridiculous, as we'll be singing songs either written for Eurovision or else of a Europop persuasion.
If you'd like to perform on the night, there are TWO SLOTS LEFT at the time of writing.
If you'd like to snap one of them up, send a message to the Risk A Verse Facebook page, stating the song you'd like to perform.
For all performers, please let us know if you'd like to enlist the services of House Guitarist Mike to accompany you - or you're welcome to use a backing track if not accompanying yourself.
On the night, we will project the lyrics onto the wall, so if your version differs from the version on
https://genius.com then please let us know at least a few days before the event.
If playing the song yourself, you must bring your own instrument.
There is an in-house PA and sound engineer. Percussion (played by you or a friend) is optional, though we don't want to faff around with any drum kits.
If you are concerned about sharing a mic and can bring your own, you are welcome to use it.
Doors are at 7.15pm and we'll start the music at 7.45pm.
