Practical Workshop: Preparing a Submission for the Academy of Management Meeting: 13:00-15:00, in person only (preceded by lunch at 12:00).You may book to attend both parts (only one booking required), or the morning/afternoon session only.This workshop aims to help you prepare a submission for the Academy of Management. This will be a collaborative session that will draw on the collective experience of those in the room to inform best practice in preparing a submission. There will be time to discuss submissions and facilitated feedback sessions short sections of work. Although the focus of the session will be on AOM, it will also be relevant to other business and management conferences.The second half of the day will be a facilitated writing session where you will be encouraged to work on your submission. Attendees of the afternoon session should come to the session ready to do some substantive writing. A Christmas-themed lunch will be provided to fuel our work for the day.Outcomes:By the end of the workshop, attendees will:Understand more about the different types of AOM submissions and how best to prepare them;Develop skills in conference submission preparation;Progress a substantive piece of writing.Important:1.
